This page includes details of other organisations offering funding and support for research to UK law teachers in higher education. It covers law related and generic learning and teaching support, the national research councils and other sources, and funding from the EU.

- Association of Law Teachers – the ALT’s Legal Education Research Network (or LERN) aims to further knowledge and understanding of legal education and law teaching
- BILETA – offers research awards for projects reflecting BILETA goals
- LERSNet – the Legal Empirical Research Support Network offers a range of research resources and community support
- Society of Legal Scholars (SLS) – offers funding for legal research and scholarship and two book prizes, the Peter Birks Prizes for Outstanding Legal Scholarship
- Socio-Legal Studies Association (SLSA) – operates a Small Grants Scheme and three book prizes
L&T
Learning & teaching
- Higher Education Academy – offers a range of funding opportunities, as well as a newsfeed of funding opportunities throughout the sector
- JISC funding opportunities – includes funding for the innovative use of new technologies
- National Teaching Fellowship Scheme – the Academy’s NTFS scheme has two separate strands – individual awards (there have been nine National Teaching Fellows in law) and projects
- Islamic Studies Network – small-scale funding is available for cross-disciplinary research

- Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) – funds research and postgraduate study into the content and procedure of law (responsibility for law shared with the ESRC)
- Economic and Social Research Council – see ESRC’s research funding guide for details of funding opportunities
- British Academy – see the introduction to grants available for an overview of support
- City Solicitors Educational Trust – offers grants to law schools based on the objective of increasing the number of ‘good’ graduates entering the solicitors profession
- Fulbright Commission – awards to study, lecture or pursue research in the US
- Leverhulme Trust – grants and fellowships in support of academic research
- Nuffield Foundation – supports research that will “advance social well being”
